Check Oil light on - buzzing via stereo - ground?

Just came back in from a 90 mile LA circuit drive, backing into driveway, noticed a buzzing from the stereo rear speakers, and then when I turned around saw the oil check light was on. Oil level was topped up, so I suspect this is electrical or faulty sensor. No oil leaks, no odd noises from engine or overheating.
Anyone encounter this scenario? My rear tails were replaced with LED bulbs to reduce electrical load. Everything has been fine since (that was 4 yrs ago).
My 1st shot at this would be that it's a electrical switch/ground, or relay issue, since it was triggered in reverse. Thoughts?
