Hi everyone,

I'm new to the FirstFives forum. What a great resource for all things E12!

I have a 1981 M535i with some electrical problems and I'm wondering if anyone on here has found a wiring diagram for this specific model. Anything from UK or South Africa will help. 1980 - 81, E12, M535i.

I'm having issues with shorts and I'm guessing it's the ECU harness.

Any resources/suggestions will be very helpful.

What kind of electrical issues do you have? And do you have the RHD version (because you are referring to UK and SA)?

The wiring loom is - as far as I know - not M535i E12 specific and should be exactly the same as other big 6 cylinders E12's (528i). Although there might be differences between the US and European version. Did you check the Haynes manual? I think an electrical scheme is included.

Also, if you haven't done so already, you should join the M535i E12 Yahoo group.
