Wheels from a 528e?

Post by canada karl »

Do they fit an E12 without any issue? I saw a good deal locally on these wheels. They look similar to the E12s but slightly different in appearance?

Definitely fit with no issues. The ones from a 528e are just fine, and the ones you're looking at probably are, but a word of caution, 533/535s used the same style wheel but for TRX tires which the last I knew were going for over $400 USD each. Make sure the wheels say something like 6 X 14 on them, not 165 X 390.

My wrecked 530i had 7Jx14 Alpina alloys. Was that a dealer option or special order back in the day? I don't seem to see that 7" type up for sale very often? I have one wheel that has a dented rim with a 1/2" long small crack at the top of the dent. If I can't find another rim I may need to get an estimate on having it repaired but I've been told that is an expensive proposition. :|

Might have been a dealer option or someone just bought new wheels at some point. People used to do that, a lot.

14's aren't popular anymore and not many tire choices, not even 15s. But if you want to stay with 14s, might as well get a quote on getting the Alpina repaired, it might not be as bad as you fear.
