Does anyone know where there is an electrical diagram of the air conditioning system BMW USA added onto the E12's? The reconditioned compressor works fine, when on an external power supply, but I don't know at all how to hook it up to the wiring. I should have been much more careful, when I removed the old compressor, but it wasn't working when I bought the car. I have heard that there is a few/several page supplement that BMW USA gave out with the owner's manual.

Yes, you are correct. There is an additional schematic dedicated to A/C in the climate control section
of the factory manual (blue binder). I may need to do this from scratch on a Euro car with no A/C so it's on my mind.

You're probably right. FAQ development seemed to have ended around 10 yrs ago - not much active web development on today's board, although there are some important, unrepresented topics.
