It's so neat you have US/Euro 1977 examples of the same car :!: 8) Are they both the same color by any chance :?: BMW's aim was that the 530i and Euro 528 had identical acceleration and top speed. Maybe they did, but perhaps they didn't deliver the performance in the same way :?:
Not the same color...the US car is Polaris silver and the Euro is Fjord Blau. I've got loads of pictures on the restoration. I'm hoping to get a thread going to share some of that over in the gallery when I've got some extra time.

My 1976 Euro 528 is Fjord metallic blue too :!: A popular color at the time no doubt. :)

I sent the axial/swashplate compressor out for a rebuild and refresh (Automotive Budget, Port Richie, FL) and it's back; prettied up the motor-mount brace plates (Master Coat two-part urethane) and ordered up some new hardware (Belmetric). Hopefully I'll get this mounted up in the next week or so.

Eric, I wondered about those metal plates years ago as well. Funny thing the ones on your car almost look home made or something.
Heres the parts on realoem, I think. Parts 8 and 9

Heres a pic of the pieces on my car. To me it looks like I have 2 no 8s there

Apologies for the greasy appearance. The power steering hoses are very weepy there. I got to get on that

Oh, so they are on RealOEM. Yeah, on the driver side they look like that, but on the passenger side they look more like the greyed-out part 11, only not exactly. There are two of them stacked together on each side.
