Lowering spring and shocks

Hi everybody. I have a 1981 528i that I'm thinking about lowering in the future. Car just looks too high. I've only had the car about a year but been reading so much old stuff. I was thinking about using H&R springs and bilstein B6s.
Will this work?? I'm looking for a definite answer. Ive read so many old posts from years ago with people arguing that it will or won't work I'm really confused..
Just looking for a reasonable option to lower it a little

Thanks

That combination works. The confusing information is mostly around B6's being compatible with lowering springs. The recommended strut was the B8 Sport but they've been long out of production. The B6's work just fine. Replace the rubber spring seats while you're there and purchase a pair of the securing rings part #31321117376 as you may chew up the originals if you don't have the correct tool. Also, and I've said this many times, I swear the best suspension upgrade I made was to install e24 sport seats that use foam based cushions rather than springs. No more bouncing up and down.

Thanks so much. Really appreciate it.
Yeah I got rid of my seats last year.
Too many springs and bars poking me.
Smelled horrible too no matter how much I tried to clean them.
Went with corbeaus.
