Trunk lid inside vinyl source

Post by richn123 »

Does anyone know a source for the vinyl trunk lid for a 1979 528i?

It is a gray elephant skin pattern

The trim pieces on either side of the tool kit? The passenger side shows as still available.

I have a set in usable but not perfect condition if you're interested.

Or you could try emailing coupekings.com or Wallothnesche.com

The vinyl isn't too hard to come by in that texture, and SEM has a gray that matches the original pretty much exactly. That's probably the best route, unless you have nothing at all, and need the fibre board backing. In that case, just find a set in any condition, not too warped, and either re-cover those or use them as a template to cut new boards.
