Hey Mike.. What is the Best way to install Cam adapter nut?

Is it better to install the adapter nut when the head is off the block or is it easier with the head bolted down? What is the recommended torque? CK

Don't know the torque offhand, but it's tight, around 100 ft/pounds. However you can hold it still while tightening it would be the preferred method. I would not use the timing chain to keep it located, I don't know what kind of stress it's designed for. And unless you plan on reusing the lockplate, use red locktite on it to keep it tight.
