I think shocks are still available, but hard to find. At least I think I know of a source. As far as I know, I think all the springs are interchangable, but I also think the earliest were the softest, not the firmest. I've got it in the big blue book, but no time at the moment to check. Unless you're really in a rush, ping me after Xmas and I'll take a look. I've also got I think it is 2 complete sets of used Bilsteins for later cars if you're interested in going that route. I assume they're good, I'll have to inspect carefully and ask Don who I got them from, but they do last almost forever.GripGreg wrote:Thanx Mike
While you're still here, will the springs from my '75, which may be stiffer than an '80, fit over the '80 shock towers? I'm planning on switching to the vented rotors. Also because Pierre said shocks are no longer available for a '75.
It appears the spring rate is stiffer on the '75 which is logical to me, since Petr Frac, or whatever his name is, (the engineer from Mercerdes) had it in his mind to have a more competitive car.
