Would a 2000tii have the same brake set up as a 530i (03/76)
Also anyone know offhand what the brake line thread size would be if I wanted to buy a brake line at local supplier? One more: Who has the best price for brake mounting kits? Thx CK
Not 100% sure on the thread size but 8mm comes to mind. No kits available that I know of, just have to bend and flair the end you're self. There are tools for this, and don't buy a cheap one as they don't work well. If you have many brakes lines to run, get a good tool and take your time. The 2002tii is the same front caliper as a 530.... just to clarify my prevous post.

Frank's advice is good (I owe you a phone call Frank)
I think the flare size is called M10
I bought pre-flared pieces at NAPA and they worked well

Same calipers, wrong sides
The left caliper on the tii fits the right side of an early non-vented E12, and vice versa.
