M106 engine back in car

Just dropped the M106 block into the E12. Now to hook everything back up and put the tranny back in. Maybe get some of this done this weekend.

I'll get a photo posted but it looks just like the 2.8 I broke last year. I'll get the new one online. It's all about the internals. It's basically a B34 motor with a few factory extras to help out the cooling and lubrication.

The biggest difference besides the 2.8 to 3.5 conversion is the new accessory mounting. I went with the E28, or in this case the E23 tensioning system rather than the old axe handle leverage method. Much easier to tighten the belts now.

Still working on building a knock sensor program for the megasquirt. Trying to pin down Peter F on a time to record his engine knocking so we can program the box. Hey Peter, how did DC autocrossing go? Tom says you are headed to Nebraska again.
