I hope this isn't a repeat question. I tried to look through the posts first.
I have a 78 530. there have been some issues with cold starting, so I did some wiring checking using the manual on your website. I came across 2 problems. First: the wiring diagram shows the fuel pump dual relay, but there is another relay located right beside the fuel pump relay which has 5 terminals. Both the cold start and temp/time switch connect directly to this relay and not the Fuel pump relay. But this relay doesn't show up in the wiring diagram that I have and i want to make sure the connections are correct.
Second, the multiplug which goes to the ecu (inside under the glove compartment) Beside the main wires which are enclosed in the grey outer covering I have two additional wires. One goes to a space connection and goes to the coil. But there is also another wire which goes to pin 15 ( i think) and comes off separate. This wire looks like it should plug into a similar connection just off the multiplug, but my wiring diagram shows a no connection indicated for this pin of the ecu. I would like to know where this goes, and if it is necessary.
I hope this makes sense to someone

It sort of makes sense but how about a picture? I think that would help me decide if the previous owner might have engineered a 'mod' or not.

You have to host them somewhwere on the 'net like Photobucket or similar. Then use the "Img" button to set up a link.

Use the guide for BBCode "Showing images in posts" here.

I use picasa, which is linked to my gmail e-mail account.

But, if you just want to upload a photo here and there, you can use something like:

http://imageshack.us/

Both options are free.
