When I removed the fuel rails some of the caps that cover the injector tips came off with the injectors and some didn't. What is the best way to get these cover caps out of the intake manifold to change out the rubber seals? Also in the headgasket kit there is a 1" diam X 1.5" cylinder shaped ferrel? Were does that go? Thx in advance CK.

You should be able to pry them out with a screwdriver. They shouldn't be in there too tightly. No idea on the other thing.

The small rings are just stuck. Come out with pick or small screwdriver. They get hard so do replace them.
Use realoem.com for drawing for assembly if you forgot. Use the end caps on the BMW fuel line, no hose clamps are needed.
Pay attention, or do a dry run test assembly to get the metal ring flange that the two little bolts go through, over the injector, large o ring in position,...BEFORE pushing the fuel line, cap, on the barb.
I remember the flange having to go on first, as it wouldn't rotate to fit after the fuel line was on.
Sometimes extra things come in kits. Just copy the parts drawing or what came off.
Thanks for the advice....Good to know...Great site :-) n/m
