No start at operating temp.

Revisiting. Starts fine, runs fine. Normal operating temps, shut it off, spins over fast, no start. Tries, catches, back to turning, sometimes pop.

Ran the battery to slow turn over, added charger, spun over fast, started. Rev up to clean out.

The thermostat housing only has one sensor. ( '78 633) Short coolant temp with two flat connectors on top. No number for it on realoem drawing. No idea how to test it using ohm meter.

Battery is old but spins it fast on first start. All grounds clean, tight unless deep invisible crud.

Thank you for ideas.

My fault, no offense intended and humor appreciated.

Becoming apparent the golden age of e12 enthusiasts is fifteen years gone. Experts down to a busy few, to indulge (in my case) quick, lazy, easy solutions. Going against my own advisories to new members to check FAQ's, Google search previous posts.

Fact is, the cars are the same, to make every possible problem have every possible solution appear over the years of archives.

Seek and I shall find.

Although I sometimes have to read it again while chuckling, it's good to know someone shares my twisted since of humor. Although, you seem to out-twist me.
Never change & to quote your local sage, "glad we could help."
