Got a new electric pump for my bottle, old one seized up. I took the opportunity to clean the bottle and hoses that fit onto the bottle. Now I find the hoses leak where they connect to the bottle's plastic nozzles.

Any ideas on how to stop this. Sealant type, hose clamps I am assuming there must have been some kind of clear resin seal from the factory, cos the hoses were quite hard to take off. Thanks.

No sealant, you just need new hose to replace the old hard near 40 year old stuff.

Try cutting the bulgy end bits off the old hoses. No sealant, no clamps. If that doesn't work, new hose.

Thx all. I will get some new hoses made, using the originals as templates. The jets aren't something I use much, but it's on the "to do" list of fixes.

I know they used oetiker clamps or 'stepless ear clamps' on some of the hoses on some of the models.

I went through this recently on my car. I couldn't get them to seal without the Oetiker (sp) clamps. I was able to buy them on Amazon. I believe I bought the new braided hose from BavAuto in bulk and cut to fit.

Lot's of good suggestions already.

I've replaced a lot of that washer fluid tubing with translucent silicone tubing rather than clear vinyl. Silicone is much more pliable and doesn't really harden over time like the rubber or vinyl, so it tends to keep a good seal on the barbs.
