Question about fixing door trim
The trim on the driver's side door is no longer held firmly by the trim clips. It will pop onto them, but after a few good closings of the door it works its way loose.
It seems to me that it is either the clips or the trim piece.
The clips do not look different/worn in an obvious way.

I had a current draw in the car that the previous owner and several mechanics had not been able to sort out for more than 10 years.
They had identified two fuses that needed to be removed and replaced to keep the battery from draining.
It took me about a year. I noticed an intermittent switch in ...

Thank you for the response. I now believe I have the timing set correctly, but I would like to verify this because I have typically set timing on older American cars where there is a tab with the degrees of advance marked.
I have drawn a sketch of what I see through the timing window as the engine ...

Timing and Octane Questions
I am relatively new to E12s and pretty naïve about them, but have a question I am hoping I can get help with.
I have seen posts by some who have advanced timing by setting the 22 degrees at slightly lower RPM (1700). What I want to know from those who have advanced their timing this way, or some ...

Thank you.
T. Hanson, The manual opens to the table of contents and this is where I was stuck before. Can you point me to the number of the procedure (if that is what it is called? - something like 51 21 .....?) It may be that I just don't recognize what I am looking at? (I figured out from prior ...

I pulled the switch yesterday and the battery did not drain overnight. I then pulled the switch apart, but couldn't figure out what could be wrong with it, so I reassembled and reconnected (to see if it still worked). It did, but I don't see the signs of the draining current on the fuse box. I will ...
