M535i Battery Size?

My M535i needs a new battery. Online searching on UK sites suggest the battery is a Group 47 but the battery I just pulled out was a Group 41. Does anyone know definitively what size goes in there?

As a guess, I would say the Group 41 'cause it just came out?
How did it fit in the battery well? Did the tie-down hold it in place nicely?
As far as you know, how long did it last?

Well, the thing that started me wondering was the fact that, when I bought the car, the battery clamp was in an envelope in the glovebox. The Group 41 fit within the battery box, which surprises me a little since it is almost 2 inches longer than a Group 47. Oh well, perhaps I will find out why he went with 41 when I try to buy a 47.
