instrument cluster removal

Post by canada karl »

If the telescopic steering wheel is pulled back as far it will go, is it just possible to remove the instrument cluster or does the column have to be dropped to remove the tach?

not sure, technically, but I always remove the steering wheel because it's just no big deal. Put it at 12:00, remove it, then put it back the same way. Then you've got plenty of room to work.

That's a very good FAQ; but, I totally agree with Ken about the steering wheel.
I've done it both ways: guess which way was a LOT easier? A LOT easier!
No need to drop the column though.
