m535 steering wheel centre

Post by garyw51 »

Does anyone know where I can source the correct steering wheel centre for my M535? I believe it should be the old style motorsport logo in black and white (shades of grey). My car currently has a BMW rondel. Thanks for any advice.

They're still available from BMW.

32 33 2 206 203

Here, they're about $25 USD.

Much appreciated Christopher. I will try to find one using this part number.

They're readily available in the UK. I bought one a few months ago.

May be worth a call. If they can't make it work for you I could buy and forward on.

I have a spare one but it's a bit faded and tatty (hence why I replaced mine!)

Have you tried Blunttech? Their website almost always says "Not available" on the e12 parts I've searched for, so I always just email them directly (sales@blunttech.com). They've never let me down.

Thanks guys. I have tried Walloth and Nesch and Pelican parts. I have now emailed Blunttech and waiting for their reply. Thanks for your offer Benjj. If you could give me a contact I will chase it up or if you are prepared to help out I would be most appreciative. I have a friend here in Oz who keeps giving me a hard time about not having the correct centre decal on the car. The one in the photo is what I am after.
Thanks again for all the help.

No problem at all.

I bought mine from my local dealer: Stratstone BMW, Harrogate, UK. Their number is +44 1423 855500.

If you ask for parts dept they can get you one in. There is some stock in the UK so should only take a few days.

I can collect when passing and post out to you. It's so light it can go safely in a normal envelope.

Thanks Benjj. I appreciate your offer. Blunttech have been able to source one for me and will post it to me in Oz. Thanks everyone for your input. I know this is off topic, but I just took delivery of an e28 M535 in zinnobar red to be a stablemate for the e12 M535. It will become my daily driver when I sort out a few things.
Cheers

Thanks Christopher. I am really looking forward to the e28. I have had to put an overdrive box in it instead of the dogleg box. I think this will be a good exchange for lower revs highway cruising. The dogleg box in the e12 is good and the whole car puts a smile on my face when I drive it.
I am interested to know how many e12 M535s are in Oz. I know of 4 but there could be more. We have 2 in NSW, there is 1 in Queensland and 1 in Victoria. Considering they were never sold new in Oz this seems like a good number - all still driving.
Cheers :D
