bear with me...

Post by neetyrom »

i realized whilst all the conundrum of my suspension replacement i would have to get an alignment every month (lifetime alignment) because it would all of a sudden start pulling left/right. this might be a minor problem but i just want to pinpoint the source. Would the sleeve between the inner and outer tie rod cause a slip in the alignment and consequently have to be readjusted all the time or is it something else? feel free to enlighten me on this one, real oem doesn't have a part number so i just call it the tie rod sleeve?

I don't think the sleeve is slipping. The force necessary to pull a 12+mm male thread through a female sleeve would be way too high. Have you checked all the rubber parts associated with your suspension?

Do not rule out your brakes. You may have a sticky caliper or restricted brake lines.
Would you be nore specific about the symptoms? Is it consistent? Is is always left (or right?) Does it straigten out then start again? If you got it aligned again, was it off and needed adjustment?

I'll go with Pierre on this. How old is your brake system?

yes suspension is all NEW right down to the crown nut. and everything is aligned again. (knock on wood.) however, someone had mentioned a radius rod bushing, words of which i have never heard to be associated with a car. can anyone tell me what it is exactly. It seems like i get something fixed and something else seems to begin to fail. i think im just gonna start from square one and do everything at once next time around.
