Headliner stains
Anyone here have experience with light to dark brown stains on the headliner trim at the C pillars by the rear glass? Vertical piece from ceiling to rear shelf. My headliner is in great condition except for this and I hate to remove it and recover if not necessary. Chemicals or steam cleaning have no affect. Thinking of having it dyed.

I would say it's standard. Everyone I think I've seen at least in the past 20 years. Cleaning won't do any good, it's in it, not on it. Dye or a spray vinyl coating are about your only options.

I wrote an FAQ some years ago entitled headliner repair. If you are interested in replacing your headliner you may wish to view that post. I wish I had replaced the foam at the C pillar because the foam and/or the glue when combined with the Sun and heat create that brown stain the two cars were so known for. I have purchased all new fabric and will replace the headliner a second time and this time I will replace the phone and the glue to be certain this doesn't recur. good luck to you the wind screen has to come out of the car front and rear that is. that's what makes this so challenging. most people don't want to go through that trouble. but I do and I will! Eventually that is.
