Rear window heater not working on my 518 from 1976.

Rear window heater is not working, but the green lamp works on the dashboard. It has never been used and I think someone puled out the wiress somwhere inside of car. solutions?

There's a thread somewhere with specs, check electrical at defroster connection at window, may need to replace grid.

I have 3 cars with inoperative rear window defrosting...Actually i have 3 wires that work on the Benz. the rear window has to be replaced to fix it.

Yep, usually the grid goes. Max resistance is about 5 ohms for it to work, any more than that and it won't. I think even on early cars E28 glass will fit, I know it will on later and it's a decade or so newer, but still pushing 30 instead of 40 years old.
