E34 M30B35 into E12

Hi all,

My searching has proven fruitless so I'll ask here - I have found a low mileage E34 535i at a good price, I'm considering buying it and mating the M30 to the existing 5 speed drivetrain in my E12.

I have read that the engine mount bolt holes won't line up - is this correct? If so what's the solution to get this block into my car?
