Oil stink

End of any flight, distinct burnt oil smell from under hood. Look, sniff, closest fumes are from oil fill cap area.

No smoke, oil spots on ground, no wet on engine, no noticeable oil consumption. Only symptom at all is slight poof on start up, nothing out the back on hard acceleration. Runs great in all respects.

Tiny leak from valve cover gasket ?

It might be the valve cover gasket, but you should be able to see it if it is. I've often found a pretty pungent aroma after a long trip from even a very minor tranny leak, like the infamous selector shaft seal. It gets onto the exhaust and only on a long trip when it gets good and hot, it will put out an odor afterwards.

Are you sure it's oil ? Check for harnesses and all wires touching the engine. Same with all rubber hoses and tubing.
