sorry. Accidentaly posted an incomplete response. Ok, theres a plug like i mentioned with 3 wires. That goes to the part that you referred as the voltage regulator. The voltage regulator on the alternator in the picture has those white "bosch" letters. Mine has a has 3 pins right there instead of the bosch white letters. And there is where the plug i was telling you about goes to. The plug with a black, green and violet wires. :/
