So I took your advice, alotawatts. When I got in there, the corrosion on the inlets for the throttle body was just too much. Must've had a slow drip for years.
I got it all back together and I now have full fuel pressure at the fuel rail with no leaks.
Still no start. No spark. I've got power to the coil, but nothing from the timing light. (Checking for spark with timing light because I have no helper).
Last night, when I fixed the fuel pump issue, I turned the key and it started right up, but I immediately shut it off because the fuel rail was leaking. Tore the runners down and replaced the rail hoses. Put everything back exactly as I found it. Did not touch anything related to the ignition system. No start. Getting fuel from the cold start relay, but no spark.
I have a spare Bosch Blue coil. should I swap it out?

Okay... update again. My timing light is broken. Just to be safe, I checked it on my fiat spider, which is running fine. Nothing. Timing light is dead.
Off to Pep Boys again for another timing light and a digital multimeter. I haven't seen mine for a while, and it looks like I'll be needing one.

Another Update
Got a new timing light, confirmed that I am not getting any spark.
I tested the coil in my other car, and it ran fine. Tried 3 other coils in the Bimmer, not a single spark. That means I've narrowed it down to the pulse transmitter or the "brain" behind the right headlight.
I'll go to the salvage yards tomorrow to attempt to find either piece.
