pitman rubber

Post by Herman »

:(

I need a new rubber on the pitman arm.
BMW only sells them in bags of 50.
1 rubber costs about $6 if I calculate correctly.

Anyone knows if there are substitute rubbers for sale?

BMW no: 32 21 2 675 124

I drive a BMW 528 Euro E12 from '77
(halfway between type I and II)

Change them all!

It's better to have them even so change them all together or in the mean time do one yourself.

Just go to the brezan, they have different sizes there. Measure the upper and lower diameter of the cap or bring it with you to the shop.

They cost something like 2-3 euro's.

There is no Brezan in the neighbourhood anymore.
But I told the garage to do it for me.
It might be more expensive, but I just can't reach everything and the weather is bad at the moment for working outside.

I still could ask if he can replace both rubbers and let me have the originals so I can look for better replacements if need be.
