79 528i seat question

hi guys,

my front seats are shot. are there other bmw models that have a direct or fairly simple swap for the front seats? i have leather if for some reason that makes any difference.

Depending upon your definition of shot, you can Google search the subject here for other seats that bolt in, may be modified to fit.

Some have replaced the crunchy hair with foam, had seats re-covered or had the covers repaired and installed themselves.

E23 and E28 seats are a bolt up, however many of them are power. You can either swap the bases and a few more parts, or do a full power installation as was done in one of mine before I bought it. Oh, and the back seats from E28s are a bolt in too. Location is key, I've got a full set in decent shape (E28) I'd let go really, really cheap. But it doesn't pay to ship them, either the cost of shipping directly or the time it would take to pack them up and haul them off to be shipped.
