Positioning of brake hose and line in front wheel well

Been awhile since I took everything apart to do a complete brake job. Looking into the driver's side wheel well:does the brake line/hose (mounted to to the inner fender)closest to the FRONT of the car,connect to the brake line that goes to the TOP inlet hole on the brake caliper? Seems logical it would but want to double check. Thanks in advance Karl 530i with no reactors and 5 speed.

Goes to lower caliper fitting .....on 528i's
Doubt if 530 is different.
Three E12's and one R27
