Cylinder Head locating dowels?

Where are they positioned for the head insatall? Between #3 and#4 Cylinders? CK

Here's mine : 1981. Cannot say for sure this was the first head pull for this car........
2 guides found. One guide found between cyls. 1 and 2 on drivers side and the other between 4 and 5 on passenger side.

Look at the head and or block, there's two, and there are larger holes for them. Use both, but only two, they usually stick in the head, but not always, and you don't want to try and put two in the same place. :shock:

And just for the record.
Not particularly about your head, but if you made a serious grind - you have to shorten the dowels also (and of course the head's chain front cover).
I've made this mistake years ago...
