Fuel filter replace

Post by T.Hanson »

Disconnect battery.

If I want to clean the whole pump, bracket, filter assembly, besides disconnecting the wires, nuts under the boots, which line/lines are going to leak out the contents of the tank ?

Does one plug it, them with a bolt, what.

Thank you,

You can't drain the tank without a pump or syphon. If I understand you right.... when you disconnect the large hose that feeds from the tank plus the small lines and whats in the filter and pump, plus residule fuel comming back from the hardlines you will get a about a quart of fuel. It's messy but not bad.
