It really isn't all that bad to put a properly running and outfitted engine from an 89 into a 77. One lead runs a check engine light I rigged up inside the EGR display, looks stock. Other than that, heated O2 sensor, stock cats, replaced all fuel system hoses and vent lines. I did get rid of thermal...

Side loader output shaft seals
Hi, This seems like a straightforward job to pop in some fresh output seals; drop the shafts, pull the center retaining bolt and off comes the hub. Most adhesives will melt the foam. You might be able to clean it up on your own, but chances are they will want to see the old o...

Replace the rubber lines with the same thing. Just because yours wore out doesn't mean they were flawed. If someone can prove to me that there is a teflon line that passes a 180 degree kink test without shattering then I will believe they are DOT approved. Otherwise, the only thing you are getting w...

With all the door seals and windows removed, hang the headliner with the bows and begin stretching it into position and gluing. Bring it to Pinky in San Leandro if you don't want to ruin a few getting it right. Wrinkles are tough to get out. Think of it as a membrane that likes to be pulled evenly i...

You are better of with a piece of pipe on a breaker bar than an impact. Spray the nut first with Kroil just in case it is rusted on. I popped off the front nut on an old Mercedes that is factory torques to 235 Ft Lbs with what was effectively a 4 foot long bar. Once it pops, you are there. Impacts o...
