Finally pulled the pedal cover off and low and behold the insulation was filled w/ fluid. Anyway, ordered a new master and slave.
My only question is... Will I be able to to reglue the vinyl where it detached b/c of the fluid? Question is if I clean it, eg. brake cleaner or something, will Super77 stick?
It was the Clutch Master
I would try flushing with water, shop vacuuming out, repeating several times and see what you get. Brake fluid is water soluble, so you don't need solvents, just flush repeatedly. Go from there.

Try changing the heater's water valve then, after that the clutch master is peanuts.
Had a nice surprise as well with the reverse light switch on the gearbox (I had to remove the clutch slave to get access there).
